In Berlin around 14.000 individuals are injured in road accidents each year. Most of the victims are children, teenagers, young adults and elderly people. The Berlin urban development department is working to provide increased safety for all road users by means of different measures.

With the Road Safety Programme 2010, the Berlin urban development department has taken major steps to improve road safety.
