Modification sheet
Every proposed modification to the Land Use Plan is accompanied by a "modification
sheet", stating the area concerned and a reference number.
In addition, the modification sheet gives details of the planning procedure
to be followed (see
modification procedures)
and of the sequence of planning stages.
If the standard modification procedure is adopted, a second page of the
modification sheet contains information on the
environmental
impact assessment, including the objectives of the Landscape Programme
for the relevant area.
If different planning solutions are plausible, planning alternatives are
presented for discussion during the first phase of public participation.
After this participation stage, the alternatives are examined and the preferred
alternative, possibly in a revised form, is put forward for further discussion.
