Land Use Planning BerlinExplanatory comments on the Land Use Plan and the involvement of the public: Coordination of planning procedures
A coordinated planning management and a combination of planning procedures
help to cut down costs and to make the whole process more calculable for
all concerned. Public participation and consultation phases on all current
modifications to the Land Use Plan are usually combined into two relatively
short information and consultation periods per annum.
While some modifications are in their first stage of public participation and consultation, other modifications have already reached the more formal stage of the public display of the revised draft. At the same time, the public is informed about amendments to the plan which have been finally decided upon by the Senate and the City Council. Every three to five years, the different modifications will be incorporated into the zoning map for republication. The coordination and combination of different planning procedures according to a long-term schedule has facilitated the consultation process with public and other statutory bodies, giving them more time to prepare their arguments for a combined statement. |
